Human Nature collaborated with McBride Dale Clarion and the City of Franklin for the revitalization efforts of Franklin’s Main Street. The vision to create a space that is highly functional while also strengthening the sense of place laid the foundation for design and planning efforts. The goals of the project were to introduce two-way traffic, expand sidewalks, strengthen the sense of place, enrich the experience of the corridor, highlight architecture and sight lines, create a vibrant civic intersection, and coordinate synergistic opportunities.
Beginning at the Second Street intersection and concluding at the Sixth Street intersection, the project site works as a connector for businesses and people and lends itself to becoming a hub of interaction. The use of brick pavers and colorful features bring an air of richness and vitality to the corridor, creating a lively experience for both pedestrian and vehicular users to enjoy.
