Human Nature facilitated a community-oriented design process with the support of Kolar Design
(environmental graphics) and Bayer Becker (civil engineering) that led to the creation of a cohesive vision for Chamberlin Park to optimize it as the primary gathering hub of Deer Park and to energize it to drive foot traffic for existing businesses and attract new ones. Bookended by the Community Center and Municipal Building, Chamberlin Park features a collection of “outdoor rooms” organized along nested walking loops with connections to the surrounding neighborhoods and the proposed multi-purpose music pavilion as the civic heart. The plan incorporates feedback from over 1,000 community comments to create an amenity rich “living room” for people of all ages and abilities and a place where community can come together.
