November - We are proud to have two of our projects receive awards at the Cincinnati Design Awards (CDA) program Friday night: Covington Riverfront and District 3. It is an honor to work beside the City of Covington and Woolpert to re-imagine Covington’s relationship to the river; and the City of Cincinnati and Emersion Design to design and implement one of the highest performing sustainable projects in the region. Congratulations to our clients, collaborators, and other CDA winners for contributing to a local culture of design excellence.

August - CityBeat identifies the 7,000 square foot, 130 jet interactive water feature at Washington Park as one of the ten best water features in Cincinnati.
July - Cincinnati news outlet, WCPO, captures Washington Park before and after the renovation. Interactive "sliders" show the astounding transformation the park has undergone.
The USGBC has awarded Cincinnati Public Schools (CPS) LEED for Schools Gold for Clark Montessori School. Human Nature collaborated with Glaserworks to design a learning environment that reflects the unique principles of the Montessori philosophy.
April - Kenton County School District (KCSD) captured on video the recent dedication of the courtyard outdoor classroom at Caywood Elementary School in Kenton County. Human Nature collaborated with Strand Associates and KCSD to create an immersive learning environment designed to educate future generations about sustainability and stewardship.
February - Miami County Park District received an award from Ohio Parks & Recreation Association (OPRA) for their Strategic Plan, which Human Nature helped to produce.
November, Today, the League of American Bicyclists recognized Human Nature, Inc. with a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Business (BFB) award for leading America toward a more sustainable future.
Friday, November 15, Human Nature received a Merit Award from the Cincinnati Design Awards for the Lick Run Watershed Master Plan.
On Saturday September 7th, Human Nature hosted Landscape Architecture, Planning and Architecture students and faculty from the University of Nebraska for an open discussion on green infrastructure design and practice. The conversation covered many topics including Human Nature’s use of green infrastructure principles on regional, watershed, and site levels.
Washington Park hosted a crowd of over 35,000 over two nights for LumenoCity, a spectacular light show collaboration between the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Pops, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Opera and the May Festival Chorus, and local artists.
The Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati's (MSDGC) nationally-recognized "Sustainable, Integrated Watershed Solution" for reducing combined sewer overflows (CSOs) in the Lower Mill Creek was approved by the U.S. EPA, and was announced in a recent U.S. EPA press release. Since 2009, Human Nature and Strand Associates have worked with the MSDGC to identify comprehensive wet weather strategies for CSOs in multiple watersheds within the Lower Mill Creek, including Lick Run. MSDGC announced the U.S. EPA's approval of the watershed plan-a plan that will remove over 1.7 billion gallons of CSO annually, improve water quality, and create opportunities for economic growth in Cincinnati neighborhoods.
