About Us

Established in 1995, Human Nature was created to focus upon the planning and design of public open spaces and open space systems, including parks, preserves, trails, greenways, streetscapes, neighborhoods, plazas, memorials, and public art. These places offer the best opportunities for communities to express themselves through a celebration of cultural and natural resources. Human Nature enjoys working with wonderful clients and interest groups to create and build great places for people to connect with themselves, their families, their community, and nature. We believe that inspiration for design lies within the special qualities of the site, the potential users of the place, and the people who have had the vision to make the project a reality. We believe that each client, each site, and each community is unique and deserves a tailored approach and a place-specific design response.
